Charlie Manuel frequently makes poor strategic decisions. The 11-million dollar scoreboard in left field would probably do a similar job. We guarantee a post analyzing Manuel's decisions for every Phillies game. Please click on our aliases below to email us.

Game 128: Phils sweep Nats behind Cliff Lee (61-67)

Cliff Lee threw a more-reasonable 99 pitches on Sunday, completing 7 innings while only allowing one run. Jeremy Horst was used to retire one batter, and Josh Lindblom recorded the final 5 outs to earn the save in lieu of the unavailable Jonathan Papelbon. Charlie Manuel's lineup contained no obvious errors (there are too many lefties in the lineup to argue that Utley/Howard should be split up), and due to Lee's masterful game, he was faced with no difficult in-game decisions.

The team is now 10 games behind St. Louis for the second wild card spot.
