Charlie Manuel frequently makes poor strategic decisions. The 11-million dollar scoreboard in left field would probably do a similar job. We guarantee a post analyzing Manuel's decisions for every Phillies game. Please click on our aliases below to email us.

Game 116: Kendrick throws 7 shutout innings in victory (54-62)

Kyle Kendrick defeated the Florida Marlins on Tuesday night, throwing 7 shutout innings before allowing Josh Lindblom and Jonathan Papelbon to finish the 1-0 win. Jimmy Rollins's leadoff homer was the only offense of the game. Josh Johnson started the game for Florida, but somehow John Mayberry still batted 6th in the order. Mayberry is terrible against righties, and he probably should have been benched in favor of Laynce Nix for this game. Other than that, Kendrick's outing allowed Manuel to have an easy game.
