Charlie Manuel frequently makes poor strategic decisions. The 11-million dollar scoreboard in left field would probably do a similar job. We guarantee a post analyzing Manuel's decisions for every Phillies game. Please click on our aliases below to email us.

Game 82: Phils start the second half in style (36-46)

The Phillies lost last night by a score of 11-1. Chase Utley played the entire game. For an organization who has repeatedly claimed that they will "ease" Utley back into the routine (and they have: he's had multiple off days since his return), leaving him in for the duration of a huge blowout is just insane. Utley is under contract for 2013; there's absolutely no reason he should have been playing the entire game last night.

Utley is in the lineup again this afternoon against RHP Chris Young at 1:10 pm. Cliff Lee goes for the Phils.

Interesting, the number of times there is no reason and no rationale for the way things are done.

I really think the entire Phillies ownership is vacationing on Lake Geneva, or someplace, far from all communications mediums.

This monstrous joke has devolved into the defrauding of the gullible public which is paying the freight, here. Malfeasance, dereliction of duty, and knocking on the door of an outright swindle, is what we have here. They are stealing trusting people's time, money and emotional support for the lamest organization in professional sports. There is not a shred of honor nor integrity connected with this operation.

Instead of firing this jackass, they will keep him through the season, then have a "Charlie Manuel Day" in his honor, next year, unless he comes back, of course.

There is absolutely no age nor timetable for his retiring, he can run this team into the ground for another decade, if he wants to. Just amazing.
