Charlie Manuel frequently makes poor strategic decisions. The 11-million dollar scoreboard in left field would probably do a similar job. We guarantee a post analyzing Manuel's decisions for every Phillies game. Please click on our aliases below to email us.

Game 81: Phils swept by Dolphins (36-45)

The Phils lost on Sunday. They were pretty much overmatched the entire way with Ricky Nolasco outpitching Joe Blanton. Charlie Manuel may have made one mistake by using Jason Pridie to pinch-hit in the seventh inning instead of Chase Utley, but it is conceivable that Manuel was saving Utley for a more important situation later in the game. Whatever. This loss, unlike many of the first 45, is not on the manager.

Tonight the Phillies actually have a chance to win, because they are facing LHP Jonathon Niese at 7:10 pm at Shea Stadium. Vance Worley is on the mound for Philadelphia.
