Charlie Manuel frequently makes poor strategic decisions. The 11-million dollar scoreboard in left field would probably do a similar job. We guarantee a post analyzing Manuel's decisions for every Phillies game. Please click on our aliases below to email us.

Game 65: Charlie makes no moves, Phils win (31-34)

The Phils are now 1.5 games below .500 as Joe Blanton pitched a complete game last night. Due to the fact that the only managerial decisions made by Charlie came before the first pitch, there's not much to say.  It was nice to see Manuel not panic or feel the need to use the bullpen in the 8th inning with 2 outs and a man on first base.  It was also good that Manuel allowed Blanton go the distance seeing as how he didn't need to throw too many pitches to get the job done.

Tonight the Phillies start a series against the 4th place team in the AL East, the Toronto Blue Jays.  Vance Worley and Drew Hutchinson will take the mound at 7:07.

Charlie did make one bad move today, as he does every day - getting out of bed.
