I really don't have anything to say today with respect to Charlie's decisions today. When Pete Orr is you're sixth hitter, expectations can't be too high. The Phillies have a 10.5 game lead over the Brewers for first place in the NL. Sounds good to me.
The Phils open up a three game set in Houston tomorrow.

Cardinal rule of the universe: "Every Phillies starter MUST throw at least 100 pitches, every start, whether close game, or blow-out."
Save those marginal-quality bullpen arms, for what - next year, Charlie? Stutes, Herndon and Schwimer can't do at least as well in this spot?
Ordinarily, heading into the playoffs with a big lead in the division, a decent manager would get a valued starter, down three runs in the sixth inning, the hell out of there.
Tell you what it is - this manager plays every game and pushes every starter and regular like it's the seventh game of the World Series. Just nuts, it is. This manager is in abysmal default of his faculties.
I have already given up on this club being able to overcome the Three Stooges slapstick excuse for a manager. Thank God for the Philadelphia Eagles, is about all that is left of the Phillies season. Collapse time is coming into focus.
