Charlie Manuel frequently makes poor strategic decisions. The 11-million dollar scoreboard in left field would probably do a similar job. We guarantee a post analyzing Manuel's decisions for every Phillies game. Please click on our aliases below to email us.

Game 68: Kendrick, offense win the day game (42-26)

The Phillies won, 8-1, this afternoon behind 7 very strong innings by Kyle Kendrick and a 6-run third inning from the Phils' offense.

Obviously no major complaints for the manager today, although it wouldn't be wise to stack three straight lefties in the lineup too often. Manuel only does this against right-handed pitchers, but whatever benefit is gained in the early innings is more than neutralized by the potential lefthanded relievers in the late innings.
