Charlie Manuel frequently makes poor strategic decisions. The 11-million dollar scoreboard in left field would probably do a similar job. We guarantee a post analyzing Manuel's decisions for every Phillies game. Please click on our aliases below to email us.

Game 158: Phils rest starters, lose (94-64)

The Phillies lost last night to the Washington Nationals, 2-1, on Adam Dunn's walk-off homer. Normally I would criticize Manuel for allowing Jose Contreras to face the meat of the order in the 9th inning instead of Brad Lidge (who was warming in the pen), but it's good for Manuel to let Contreras face a couple lefties in preparation for the postseason.
