Charlie Manuel frequently makes poor strategic decisions. The 11-million dollar scoreboard in left field would probably do a similar job. We guarantee a post analyzing Manuel's decisions for every Phillies game. Please click on our aliases below to email us.

Game 157: Phils clinch division for 4th straight year (94-63)

The Phillies clinched the NL East tonight behind a dominating performance from Roy Halladay in their 8-0 victory over Washington. Halladay pitched a complete game shutout on only 97 pitches, so there's really nothing to say about Charlie Manuel for this game, except, congratulations.

At this point, since the Phils also clinched home-field throughout the entire playoffs, we can begin discussing the ideal playoff opponent for the Phils. Personally, my choice would be San Diego due to their terrible lineup and pedestrian rotation.

Now, hopefully the San Diego Padres can ruin the Atlanta Braves season.
