Charlie Manuel frequently makes poor strategic decisions. The 11-million dollar scoreboard in left field would probably do a similar job. We guarantee a post analyzing Manuel's decisions for every Phillies game. Please click on our aliases below to email us.

Game 145: Rollins continues to rest as Phils win big (84-61)

The Phillies remain one game ahead of the Atlanta Braves (who are in the wild-card lead by 1.5 games) after their 11-4 victory over Florida last night. Charlie Manuel managed his bullpen well, using Jose Contreras, David Herndon, and Danys Baez to pitch the final three innings after Joe Blanton left.

Carlos Ruiz had a monster game in the 7-hole, raising his OBP to .399. I'll say it for the 1000th time this season: he should bat much higher than 7th in the order, if not leadoff.

Tonight the Phils look to win the series when Cole Hamels faces RHP Adalberto Mendez at 7:10 pm.
