Charlie Manuel frequently makes poor strategic decisions. The 11-million dollar scoreboard in left field would probably do a similar job. We guarantee a post analyzing Manuel's decisions for every Phillies game. Please click on our aliases below to email us.

Phils need patience tonight

Tom Gorzellany is the Cubs' starter tonight, and he has walked 36 batters in only 74 innings. That's a lot. The Phillies need to take a lot of pitches tonight if they want to win, especially since Gorzellany is a lefty.

And, of course, as I write this, the first batter of the game swings at a 2-0 pitch out of the strike zone. He didn't end up on base.
