Charlie Manuel frequently makes poor strategic decisions. The 11-million dollar scoreboard in left field would probably do a similar job. We guarantee a post analyzing Manuel's decisions for every Phillies game. Please click on our aliases below to email us.

LHP on the mound

I was about to give Manuel some props for starting Cody Ransom at third (an almost mandatory situation since Juan Castro is the worst offensive player in MLB history). However, since Valdez is hurt, Castro is starting at second. I would like to see if Manuel would have started Ransom if Valdez were available. He's also playing Francisco in left, very saavy.

Juan Castro's career OPS: .596 OPS+: 56

Manny Ramirez's career SLUGGING: .589

Conclusion: I would make a better offensive MLB player than Juan Castro despite Mr. Musser's opinions.

Welcome back Ruiz
