Charlie Manuel frequently makes poor strategic decisions. The 11-million dollar scoreboard in left field would probably do a similar job. We guarantee a post analyzing Manuel's decisions for every Phillies game. Please click on our aliases below to email us.

Game 83: Braves finally break through on Moyer (43-40)

Despite a couple of extra-base hits in the game, the Phillies still struggled to score runs last night. I am aware that we have a good amount of minor leaguers in the lineup, but this is just pretty bad. The struggling bats seemed to be sufficient though, that is until Moyer gave up 6 runs in the 6th inning. The team seemed to show some life in the bottom of the 8th when they combined for 3, 2-out singles that tallied one run.

No real complaint from a managerial standpoint about last night’s game.

Note: A lot of talk is being made about trading to make the team better. Obviously, I’d be in favor of this. One condition: Do not trade Jayson Werth. Try to trade Raul, even trade Victorino before Werth. Either way, you don’t need an OF in return, you can simply bring up Dom Brown. NO WERTH.
