Charlie Manuel frequently makes poor strategic decisions. The 11-million dollar scoreboard in left field would probably do a similar job. We guarantee a post analyzing Manuel's decisions for every Phillies game. Please click on our aliases below to email us.

Game 100: Phils bats win 6th in a row (54-46)

Cole Hamels threw 108 pitches in his 5 innings of work, allowing 3 runs. David Herndon blew a one-run lead in the 6th, but the Phillies' lineup scored 3 in that inning to get Herndon the victory.

No complaints for Charlie Manuel today (he batted Ruiz seventh), even though he used Danys Baez in the 7th inning with only a two-run lead. Baez has been awful, but he was facing the 7-8-9 batters, and the bullpen has been over-worked lately. Contreras and Madson pitched the final two innings.

The Phillies are only 3.5 out of the division and 2.5 out of the wild card.

Tonight the Phils go for the series win when Roy Halladay faces RHP Edwin Jackson at 7:05 pm.
