Charlie Manuel frequently makes poor strategic decisions. The 11-million dollar scoreboard in left field would probably do a similar job. We guarantee a post analyzing Manuel's decisions for every Phillies game. Please click on our aliases below to email us.

Game 63: Moyer shuts down Yankees (33-30)

Last night, Jamie Moyer pitched an 8-inning, 3-hit masterpiece in the Phils 6-3 defeat of New York. He allowed two solo homers, and Brad Lidge finished the 9th inning after allowing one run.

Charlie Manuel stacked his lineup with lefties against AJ Burnett, and it paid off with 6 runs in the first three innings. Hopefully this is a sign of things to come; Tim Wakefield started the offensive slump, and maybe he ended it on Sunday.

Tonight the Phils go for the series win (!) with Kyle Kendrick facing LHP Andy Pettitte.
