Charlie Manuel frequently makes poor strategic decisions. The 11-million dollar scoreboard in left field would probably do a similar job. We guarantee a post analyzing Manuel's decisions for every Phillies game. Please click on our aliases below to email us.

Game 46: Phils make history by scoring zero runs in a three-game series (26-20)

The Phils lost last night to the Mets, 3-0. The game was only 1-0 in the bottom of the seventh inning, but Cole Hamels, who pitched very well, allowed 2-run double to Jose Reyes. This was once a lineup that could never be counted out when trailing by 3 runs late in the game. Once the score went from 1 to 3, however, the game was pretty much over. The Phils are only the third first-place team in history to get shutout in a 3+ game series.

Again, no managerial mistakes in this one.
