Charlie Manuel frequently makes poor strategic decisions. The 11-million dollar scoreboard in left field would probably do a similar job. We guarantee a post analyzing Manuel's decisions for every Phillies game. Please click on our aliases below to email us.

Game 44: Phils shut out again (26-18)

Nothing was pretty about this one; Phils lose 8-0. Jamie Moyer allowed 4 runs in 5 innings while allowing 7 hits, and David Herndon and Nelson Figueroa combined to allow the next 4 runs. The Phils' lineup had baserunners all night, but they never capitalized against knuckleballer R.A. Dickey (6 IP, W) and lefty Raul Valdez (3 IP, S). It is yet another terrible night for the Phils' offense.

There's nothing to say about the manager tonight.

Tomorrow night at 7:10 pm Big Joe Blanton faces LHP Hisanori Takahashi.
