Charlie Manuel frequently makes poor strategic decisions. The 11-million dollar scoreboard in left field would probably do a similar job. We guarantee a post analyzing Manuel's decisions for every Phillies game. Please click on our aliases below to email us.

Game 35: Phillies knock in 10 in win (22-13)

Joe Blanton went 7 innings while allowing 5 ER with just 7 base runners. Blanton's problem on Saturday night was the long ball, and the Brewers cashed in when they did have runners reach base.

Again, however, the Phillies offense really bailed out a below average start by combining for 17 hits and 4 walks. The 1-3 hitters (Vic, Polanco, and Utley) combined to go 9/16 with 7 RBIs, 2 2Bs, and a HR. Paul Hoover also added a homer in a 3/5 performance. The Phils got into a hint of trouble in the 9th when David Herndon came in for mop-up duty, but Jose Contreras was able to come in and put out the fire, sealing the series win for the Phillies.
