Charlie Manuel frequently makes poor strategic decisions. The 11-million dollar scoreboard in left field would probably do a similar job. We guarantee a post analyzing Manuel's decisions for every Phillies game. Please click on our aliases below to email us.

Game 28: Halladay only goes 7, Phils win (17-11)

Halladay threw the most pitches he's thrown in a game all season on Thursday. He was only able to go 7 innings, but struck out 9 while walking 3. Manuel tried to remove him with 2 outs in the 7th and Matt Holliday up at the plate and runners on first and second, but Halladay wasn't having any of that. He remained on the mound, and got Holliday out with one pitch.

The Phillies were powered by Jayson Werth (3-4, 2 2Bs and 1 HR and 3 RBIs).

Really not much to mention about Thursday's game as the Phillies won by a final of 7-2. The home plate umpire Mike Everitt was squeezing Halladay a bit, but that's about it.

Big series win as the Phils took 3/4 from the Cards.
