Charlie Manuel frequently makes poor strategic decisions. The 11-million dollar scoreboard in left field would probably do a similar job. We guarantee a post analyzing Manuel's decisions for every Phillies game. Please click on our aliases below to email us.

World Series Game 3: Hamels struggles again (1-2)

Despite a good game by Jayson Werth at the plate (who would have guessed), the Phillies fell to the Yankees again last night. Hamels looked solid early, but in my opinion, he came unraveled after the "walk" to Teixeira and then the Rodriguez reviewed HR. Hamels got into trouble last night when he tried to feature his curveball more than he should. I will never understand why he throws his cuve anywhere other than in the dirt against good RHBs. Then, he used his third best pitch against the opposing pitcher. Awful, awful decisions.

There isn't much else to say about the game.

I really hope the Phillies fans can get into C.C.'s head tonight because if they don't win this game, it's essentially over. Hopefully big Joe can turn in a good outing tonight. The Phillies will most likely need some contributions from Werth again tonight as he is arguably one of the best hitters in the league vs. LHP.
