Charlie Manuel frequently makes poor strategic decisions. The 11-million dollar scoreboard in left field would probably do a similar job. We guarantee a post analyzing Manuel's decisions for every Phillies game. Please click on our aliases below to email us.

NLCS Game 3: One Dodger reaches second base (2-1)

The Phillies took a 2-1 lead over LA tonight, winning game 3 by a score of 11-0. Cliff Lee pitched 8 shutout innings. He threw 114 pitches, which is why he was not sent out to the mound for the CG. I may have even took him out after the 7th inning, but he probably wouldn't pitch again until game 7 (which gives him an extra day of rest). Chad Durbin pitched a 1-2-3 ninth inning.

The Phils took a 6-0 lead in the second inning: this game was never really a contest, and there's not much to say about the manager.

Tomorrow night is a huge game, with a relatively even pitching matchup. Big Joe Blanton faces LHP Randy Wolf at 8:07: it's either 3-1 Phils, or homefield back to the Dodgers.
