Charlie Manuel frequently makes poor strategic decisions. The 11-million dollar scoreboard in left field would probably do a similar job. We guarantee a post analyzing Manuel's decisions for every Phillies game. Please click on our aliases below to email us.

Game 132: Lee falls the second time (77-55)

The Phils got shutout last night in Houston by LHP Wandy Rodriguez. No complaints really for Charlie Manuel as Ben Francisco got the start over Raul Ibanez. Moyer, Walker, and Taschner were used in mop up duty after Lee only lasted 3 inning.

I'm not too emphatic about this, but I definitely thought that Jayson Werth was shaded too far off the line in right when Wandy Rodriguez hit his bases loaded double that started the scoring. Had he been positioned more toward the line he probably would have made the catch, and the inning could have been less severe. Regardless, this makes two consecutive starts now where Lee has looked bad. Not saying it's necessarily a harbinger, but I would prefer good outings heading into the playoffs.

The Phils look to bounce back tonight as Joe Blanton takes on Roy Oswalt.
