Charlie Manuel frequently makes poor strategic decisions. The 11-million dollar scoreboard in left field would probably do a similar job. We guarantee a post analyzing Manuel's decisions for every Phillies game. Please click on our aliases below to email us.

Game 118: Phils bats alive yet again (69-49)

The Phils pulled off the sweep with a 12-3 win tonight. Manuel sat Ibanez against the lefty Doug Davis tonight showing an understanding of matchups.

Blanton looked strong again, but not as sharp as he has recently. He allowed 10 runners in 8 innings. He did pitch those 8 innings though which is very legit.

As usual there isn't much strategy to talk about in a blowout. Werth is still a lefty masher. Howard had a huge homer. All good things as the Phils head up to NY for a 4 game set.

There hasn't been much to talk at all in the realm of sports recently. I'm waiting to talk about the Vick situation until Mr. Musser comes back from his vacation. Brett Favre is back from the dead. Again. The Eagles offensive line needs to get healthy and step it up.
