Charlie Manuel frequently makes poor strategic decisions. The 11-million dollar scoreboard in left field would probably do a similar job. We guarantee a post analyzing Manuel's decisions for every Phillies game. Please click on our aliases below to email us.

Game 111: Bats come alive as Phils earn series victory (63-48)

The Phils looked like themselves tonight as they routed the Cubs 12-5. As usual, there isn't much to discuss in terms of managerials decisions when the Phillies are up 10 runs by the 4th inning.

While Pedro did allow 3 ER in 5 IP, the outing was encouraging. He did manage 5 Ks in those innings, and seemed to have pretty good movement on his pitches. The lineup did pretty well all around. Every starting position player had at least one hit. Rollins, Vic, Utley, Werth, and Ruiz all had at least two. The Phils broke out last night on a few big homer. Rollins saw 5 P/PA!!

Solid job by Chan Ho Park going 3 innings and only throwing 26 pitches. That's awesome. He also struck out 3 people. He gave up 0 hits and 0 walks. Durbin gave up 2 in the ninth.

The Phillies go for the sweep today as Cliff Lee takes on Ryan Dempster at 2:20.
