Charlie Manuel frequently makes poor strategic decisions. The 11-million dollar scoreboard in left field would probably do a similar job. We guarantee a post analyzing Manuel's decisions for every Phillies game. Please click on our aliases below to email us.

95% Phillies, 4% Eagles/Flyers/Sixers/Big Five, 1% Nonsense .... Contact us: Scott Graham ~ Andy Musser

Greetings from Clearwater

The Phillies are off today, and since the rest of Musser family is at the beach (I am allergic to sand), I decided to look for Internet. Hello there! I don't have much to say, but I will list a few observations I have had so far here at the Spring Training home of the Phillies:

1) Apparently, Sports Illustrated named Clearwater the #1 sports town in Florida a few years ago. Clearwater's only pro team is the single-A Threshers. If you're ever in an argument with a Tampa Bay sports fan*, this isn't bad ammunition.
2) I wrote a couple days ago about why you shouldn't get too excited about John Mayberry's early Spring Training success. Since I have been in Florida, Mayberry has gone 0-4 with 3 Ks. If I were David Murphy, I would write a long article about how much he sucks and how the Phillies should release him immediately, but I understand the concept of 'sample size.'
3) The town of Clearwater is on the Gulf of Mexico. I never knew that.

Stay tuned over the next few days for more updates, and make sure Mr. Graham doesn't get too out of hand.
