Charlie Manuel frequently makes poor strategic decisions. The 11-million dollar scoreboard in left field would probably do a similar job. We guarantee a post analyzing Manuel's decisions for every Phillies game. Please click on our aliases below to email us.

NLDS Game 4: Phils advance for first time since 1993 (3-1)

Great job by Joe Blanton to shut down the Brewers' lineup. We won't get on the manager too much today at all. The only problem I had was allowing Ryan Madson to face Prince Fielder with 2 outs in the 8th inning with a runner on base, with the score 6-2. J.C. Romero has a much better chance of retiring Fielder, and, if he allowed Fielder to reach, you could go right to Chad Durbin or even Brad Lidge to face J.J. Hardy and Corey Hart, the two righties who follow Fielder. Manuel got lucky as Fielder smoked a ball from Madson, but it was right at Chase Utley for the final out of the inning.
