Charlie Manuel frequently makes poor strategic decisions. The 11-million dollar scoreboard in left field would probably do a similar job. We guarantee a post analyzing Manuel's decisions for every Phillies game. Please click on our aliases below to email us.

NLCS Game 2: Big win for Charlie (2-0)

I'm very glad I have no real complaints against Charlie tonight. I would feel bad having to nitpick his decisions at such a depressing time for him.

Myers got into trouble tonight. He was bailed out by the huge offensive explosion (including his own huge contributions.) Durbin pitched the 6th, Romero the first 2 outs of the 7th (+1 batter, up by three runs faced a righty with no one on and 2 outs. Sure.) Madson the last out of the 7th and 8th. Lidge the 9th. When the starter has an early exit, and the bullpen can go straight through as planned, you know you have it made in the shade.

Props to Uncle Charlie for listening to Mr. Musser and starting Dobbs today against Billingsley who is absolutely horrendous against lefties. The 7th, 8th, and 9th spots in the lineup today came up huge. 8 runs today, none by means of the long ball.

Phils up 2-0. Let's go Flyers, Eagles, Phils.
