Charlie Manuel frequently makes poor strategic decisions. The 11-million dollar scoreboard in left field would probably do a similar job. We guarantee a post analyzing Manuel's decisions for every Phillies game. Please click on our aliases below to email us.

Bizarro World

Watching Game 2 of the World Series was one of the strangest experiences of my life. The Rays would strike out, but were somehow allowed to go to first. The Phillies would get hit by a pitch, and were somehow not allowed to go to first. Joe Buck sided with the Phillies on several close calls. Tim McCarver called Carlos Ruiz a Venezuelan-born catcher multiple times even though Ruiz was born in Panama. The game was played in a circus tent. The Rays' manager looks like Artie the Strongest Man in the World from Pete and Pete because of those ridiculous glasses. Charlie Manuel let Pedro Feliz start. Tim McCarver said that the Phillies committed zero errors in game one, even though he was the first to criticize Ryan Howard's error in game one. Brett Myers outpitched James Shields while the Phillies outhit the Rays, but various factors, such as unlucky timing and awful, awful umpiring, led to the Rays' finishing with more runs than the Phillies.

Welcome to Philadelphia.
