Charlie Manuel frequently makes poor strategic decisions. The 11-million dollar scoreboard in left field would probably do a similar job. We guarantee a post analyzing Manuel's decisions for every Phillies game. Please click on our aliases below to email us.

Reader questions

Reader Michael recently sent me this email:

What is the batting average of the batter after Rich Dubee visits the mound?
What is the Phillies record when Ruiz starts and when Coste starts?

I got the answer to the Ruiz/Coste question.

Ruiz W-L: 44-36
Coste W-L: 35-31

Remember, Ruiz is often aligned with Hamels and Moyer (who by no accident, are better pitchers), which could help Ruiz's W/L. Their win percentage is 55% to 53%. Not that big of a difference, they often replace one another in games.

The answer to the Rich Dubee question will be hard to get, but rest assured that either Mr. Musser or I will have the answer for you. Eventually.

Thanks for the e-mail Michael. I encourage readers to e-mail us with questions, and we will do our best to answer them accordingly.
