Charlie Manuel frequently makes poor strategic decisions. The 11-million dollar scoreboard in left field would probably do a similar job. We guarantee a post analyzing Manuel's decisions for every Phillies game. Please click on our aliases below to email us.

Game 118: The Dodgers have the worst fans. Ever (64-54)

Not much for Manuel to mess up tonight. Phillies got down early. Not to sound smug, but it's about time Kendrick's numbers make sense across the board. In 3.1 IP tonight, he allowed 9 hits, 3 walks, and he hit a batter. His WHIP was around 4. I'm surprised it took this long for a team to cash in with all their runners constantly being on base. Utley looked good. That's a plus.

Wheeler made a really big deal tonight about the Dodgers' acquisition of 3B Casey Blake. This trade for probably wasn't the best for the Dodgers. They gave up their longtime 3B prospect Andy Laroche. He's supposed to be pretty good. Whatever.

Les Walrond is a certified lunatic. He is pretty much the antithesis of Jon Lieber when it comes to throwing to first base. Lieber used to be terrified to make throws to the first baseman, and would often make a fool out of himself. Walrond has no fear of the ball being mishandled (if even touched) by our adept first baseman. He was firing that ball around the infield like the French swimmers threw around words. Carelessly.

The players on the Dodgers should be ashamed of their home crowd. It is well known that their fans leave in the 7th inning every night, and oft play with beach balls in the stands. When the balls get taken away, they resort to the wave. Fans in Philly do this too, but that's a whole other story. Tonight in the 7th inning, the Phillies made the game close again as they pulled within 3. Someone should have told their fans this because they sure as hell didn't know.

Big acquisition by the Diamondbacks today. Adam Dunn should be a huge addition to their team. He has 32 HRs and a .373 OBP which is insane for a .233 BA.
