Charlie Manuel frequently makes poor strategic decisions. The 11-million dollar scoreboard in left field would probably do a similar job. We guarantee a post analyzing Manuel's decisions for every Phillies game. Please click on our aliases below to email us.

Say it ain't so

I regret to inform you that it appears Manuel has gone nearly full circle in his lineup ways.

Tonight's lineup vs. Doug Davis (LHP): Rollins, Werth, Utley, Howard, Burrell...

People may argue that Howard is picking it up, which he clearly appears to be. However, wouldn't that make Burrell's getting on-base in front of him that much more important? If Howard can knock in 83 runs in 93 games with just Utley (only person in front of him consistently getting on) on base, just imagine if Burrell were batting before him. Oh well, I guess Manuel will never see their full potential.
