Off-day musings

Chris Wheeler loves to gush about how different the American League is from the National League. In one game against Boston, a Red Sox player was in the midst of a long at-bat, and Wheeler went on and on about how AL teams love to wear down the pitcher and see lots of pitches. Aside from the ridiculous implication that NL teams don't want to wear down pitchers, Wheeler overlooked one important statistic: NL teams have seen the same exact number of pitches per plate appearance as AL teams.
